A trio of midget Kootenay Wildcats recently returned from the Canada Winter Games in Halifax where the British Columbia team finished sixth (Team Alberta won the gold over Ontario). The three girls representing the Kootenay on Team B.C. were (L-R) Daley Oddy of Cranbrook, Aimee DiBella of Nelson and Ella Matteucci of Trail. The three will rejoin their Wildcat teammates for a pair of games at the Nelson and District Community Complex this weekend against the Fraser Valley Phantom. Saturday’s game is at 5:45 p.m. and Sunday’s contest starts at 9 a.m.
