Nelson won 2-1 against Beaver Valley in Game 2

Reid Wilson scored in overtime as the Nelson Leafs edged the Beaver Valley Nitehawks 2-1 on Sunday to even their series at one game apiece.

Nicholas Onofrychuk also scored for Nelson, which rebounded after a 5-2 loss to the Nitehawks in Game 1 the night prior. Hunter Young made his first start of the playoffs in net and finished with 23 saves.

Michael Hagen had the lone goal for the Nitehawks, and Noah Decottignies stopped 17 shots.

The Neil Murdoch Division final now moves to Fruitvale for Game 3 on Tuesday and Game 4 on Wednesday. Game 5 will return to Nelson on Friday.
