Yom Chi Martial Arts will host its black belt graduation ceremony Saturday at St. Joseph School.

These students have been training four-to-five years and persevered through the pandemic and Zoom classes to reach this point.

Four candidates testing for junior black belt are 11-to-14 years old, one student is testing for first Dan and another is attempting their second Dan.

Testing Saturday morning will take place before an exam board at Yom Chi’s dojo at 640 Baker St.

The graduation ceremony at St. Joseph School is open to the public at 6 p.m. and will feature breaking, sparring and Poomsae demos.

CORRECTION: A previous version of this article stated testing would occur at St. Joseph School. It is actually at the dojo, and will not take five hours to complete.
