Gallery 444 will be showing the artwork of four young and local artists until May 10.

Marley Sharun and Ella Spencer are students at L.V. Rogers Secondary and have two pieces each in their first art exhibit. Ambrosia Ries is a graduate of LVR and will be showing four pieces. Amelie Drewitz, a graduate of LVR and student in the Kootenay School of the Arts pottery program, will have six pieces showing.

This exhibit has offered each of these artists the chance to work with a gallery owner in ensuring that their pieces are prepared properly for exhibition, to gain experience in pricing their work, to represent themselves with an artist’s bio and to speak to the public about their work and journey as artists.

Gallery 444, located at 444 Baker St. in Nelson (2nd level), is a contemporary art gallery owned and run by Nadine Wildwood. The space is also the home of SOMA Studio, a hub for healing and expressive arts.

The emerging artist exhibit is sharing the gallery space with Crawford Bay artist Gary Sly. We extend a warm invitation to everybody to come out and support all of these talented local artists.
