In loving memory ~

Brenda passed away surrounded by loved ones at Foothills Hospital in Calgary, AB.

Survived by her daughter Jennifer Solnik (Devon) of Kelowna, BC and her cherished grandsons, Jack (6) and Beau (4). She also leaves behind her mother Iris Benger (Nelson, B.C.) and her brothers Jim (Georgia) Benger of Gibson's, BC and Bruce (Karen) Benger of Victoria B.C as well as her partner, Fred Beasley (Calgary, AB).

Brenda was predeceased by her husband Don McMillan and father Ed Benger.

Brenda grew up in Nelson, BC and Nelson continued to hold a special place in her heart and was a beloved summer vacation destination for her family. Living in Calgary, she was keen to chase the sun and escape the Alberta winters. She loved Mexico, and spent many winters there - in particular enjoying the endless beaches of Los Cabos.

Brenda was most proud of her daughter Jennifer and took every opportunity to vocalize how much she loved Jennifer. Most precious to her were her grandsons, and her family finds solace in knowing she is now closer to them watching from above.

Brenda will be remembered for her willingness to give everything and anything to her daughter, she exemplified the true meaning of selflessness and motherly love in which Jennifer strives to carry on with her own children in Brenda's memory.

She will also be remembered for her stubborn tenacity, in which she continued to exude till the end.

Her family would like to thank the many who cared for her in her final years.

Mom - you are not only loved

for what you do, but for who

I am because of you.
