Helen Dorothy Frances Gilbertson (Gray), born December 8, 1928 in Nelson, BC, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2017 at Glenwood Care Home in Agassiz, BC. She was predeceased by her son Gustave Donald Gilbertson (1951-1972), husband Ole Wesley Gilbertson (1922-2003), grandson Richard Ole Cookman (1984-2008), brothers Buster Gray (2005), Bill Gray (2006) and William Hrychuk (1933-2015) her partner in love, exploring and camping. She is survived by her children Carolyn Gibson, Judith Cookman, Ole Gilbertson and Marion Broome along with numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Helen raised her family in the Terrace/ Kitimat, worked at Mills Memorial Hospital and Royal LePage, retiring from Douglas College, New Westminster in 1993. She loved travelling and camping in the wilderness of B.C. She was much loved and will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Mom. No public services will be held.
