HUGS: Many bear hugs to our Kootenay Lake Hospital daily surgical ward nurses and the OR crew! Your marvellous care and positive attitude from start to finish during my recent procedure is greatly appreciated!

HUGS: Over the last six weeks, I have visited the emergency room at Kootenay Lakes Hospital, including two overnight stays. The care provided by internal specialists, doctors, nurses and administration staff has been outstanding. We are fortunate to have such wonderful, experienced caregivers in our community.

HUGS: Huge hugs to the amazing staff at our local emergency department that offer kind, caring and compassionate care to me during my recent visit. It is appreciated more than you know!

SLUGS: To the person or persons who thought it was perfectly OK to cut the lock on a cardboard bin belonging to a Nelson business owner and fill it with loose wet garbage.

SLUGS: Huge slug to the bylaw officer who walks by all the individuals smoking dope on Baker Street and says nothing but will go out of the way to speak to me about smoking bylaws when I am standing in a back lane not on a public sidewalk nor near open windows and doors smoking a cigarette.

HUGS: Super huge hug to the fellow that turned in my forgotten withdrawal from the CIBC in March 2023. Last week someone mentioned that I should’ve checked the police station. So almost a year later I stopped in and got it back. Thank you!

SLUGS: I am uneducated when it comes to artificial intelligence, however from my observations the AI needs human input to train. What happens when AI doesn’t need our data input anymore to perform, create and possibly even legislate? What kind of cat have we let out of the bag?
