HUGS: To the Good Samaritans who came to my assistance when I fell, fracturing a hip, and especially to the two first responder firemen who waited with me in the cold for an hour until the ambulance arrived. Much thanks to all.
SLUGS: To the people complaining about public washrooms not being open during the cold weather. Maybe find out the reason they are closed before making your ignorant comments.
HUGS: To the guy with the “Kootenay BBQ Body” shirt who gave out free smoked meat shawarma to everyone at Nelson Brewing Company over the long weekend. This unexpected deliciousness was much appreciated by us, our visiting guests, and seemingly everyone inside the taproom.
