HUGS: Huge hugs to K and M, two students who put on a fun cross-country ski event on Feb. 25. A great time was had by young and old, with funds raised going to Coldest Night of the Year. Thank you to all the volunteers and supporters.

HUGS: To the unknown woman and her two young sons for shovelling my walk after this unexpected snowfall. Thank you mama for working so hard to raise two good humans.

SLUGS: To the carshare people of Nelson who feel it’s OK to park their vehicles on residential streets for weeks. These streets are for the residents, not a private parking lot for your vehicles.

HUGS: To the young adult who paid for my teenagers’ Boba tea order at Busaba when they thought they had enough in their bank account but the card declined.

HUGS: To the amazingly friendly and helpful lady who helped at the ServiceBC centre on a wintery Monday afternoon. Renewing a driving licence has never been so pleasant!
