I applaud the Slocan Council for being smart enough to sign on to the Sue Big Oil campaign. I hope other local municipalities and the regional district will join as well. Why should the taxpayers be on the hook for the damage the big oil companies are causing? They’ve known for decades that their business practices would cause the kind of damage we’re seeing and will see much more of.
