This forum, for mayor and council candidates, is sponsored by the Nelson Chapter of the Council of Canadians, West Kootenay Climate Hub, and Nelson Doctors and Nurses for Planetary Health.
The focus will be on the future of climate and environmental action by city council. The questions will be decided in advance by the three sponsoring organizations.
The forum is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Nelson United Church at 601 Silica St.
General candidates forum, Oct. 11
This event, to be held at the Wildflower School gym at 811 Stanley St. at 7 p.m., is sponsored by the Canadian Federation of University Women.
The forum will include local school board candidates as well as council and mayoral candidates.
Chamber of Commerce forum, Oct. 12

This event will take place at Torchlight Brewing, 125 Hall St., starting at 6:30 p.m. It is sponsored by the Nelson-Creston B.C. Greens, who say it will be non-partisan.
