Building owners have big hearts

I would like to express my sincere and deepest sympathy to all the residents of the Kerr Apartments, also to Armand and Annette, the owners of the Victoria Street heritage building.

Nelson shows how much it cares

Next week marks yet another change in the local media landscape. For the first time in 22 years, The Express newspaper will no longer be on the scene. Like so many, we too wish publisher Nelson Becker the best in his next endeavour and thank him for his many contributions over the years to this community.

Beautiful eras at the Kerr

I too felt my heart break, over and over, when I smelled the smoke, and when I heard that the Kerr Building had burnt down in the night. Immediate thoughts about the tenants’ losses and their needs raced into all of our minds. “They need shoes... They need breakfast...” was heard in the streets, in businesses, over phones, and throughout the Internet.
